Glenview educators announce their picks for school board

Educators recommend Jim Baumstark, James Dolan and Diane Stefani

GLENVIEW – The Glenview Education Association (GEA) and Glenview Professional Association (GPA) endorse District 34 parents Jim Baumstark, James Dolan and Diane Stefani for election to the Board of Education of Glenview Public School District No. 34.

All three candidates running for the three Glenview Board of Education positions were interviewed by the GEA and GPA on March 11. Baumstark, Dolan and Stefani received the recommendation of the GEA and GPA following the interviews. The GEA and GPA representatives on the interview team asked the board hopefuls questions regarding challenges facing Glenview Public Schools in the future.

GEA President Nanette Ross-Meridith said, “We encourage Glenview residents to vote for Jim Baumstark, James Dolan and Diane Stefani because they care about our children and our community. Our recommendation is based upon the integrity and high ethical standards of these individuals, their positive attitudes about the importance of quality public education, and their respect for all staff. Their commitment to the education of the whole child ensures that each child develops into a well-rounded citizen.”

“We are extremely pleased to offer our support to Mr. Baumstark, Mr. Dolan, and Ms. Stefani. The three recommended candidates are committed to the schools, to the students and are supportive of the entire educational environment. We know they will make a positive difference for our children,” stated GPA President Sarah Lund.
