Know Me, Know My Name

Paper Tigers
The documentary Paper Tigers is an intimate look into the lives of selected students attending an alternative school specializing in educating traumatized youth. The film examines the inspiring promise of Trauma Informed Communities – a movement showing great promise in healing youth struggling with the dark legacy of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

Partnership for Resilience
IEA’s Partnership for Resilience, an effort of educators, doctors and social services, to identify students who come to school carrying a heavy weight from the outside world and finding ways to help them cope and succeed. The partnership is working to bring the message of trauma-informed education to school buildings and districts across Illinois.

Resilience, The Movie
Resilience and Paper Tigers were made as a documentary duo, providing complementary perspectives on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and what is being done about them. Resilience is a one-hour film that delves into the science of ACEs and the birth of a new movement to treat and prevent Toxic Stress.
