Three bylaw amendments have been proposed for consideration at the 2019 IEA Representative Assembly.
Business Items at the IEA RA
All proposals should be submitted in writing to the IEA President’s office prior to the IEA RA. At the IEA RA, proposals should be submitted to the Parliamentary Assistance Table. The timelines will be published in the delegate handbook.
Bylaws, Resolutions and New Business (2018-2019)
Bylaws are the Association’s rules for internal governance. Resolutions are the Association’s formal expressions of opinion, intent, belief, or position. 2018-2019 Legislative Platform
The Legislative Platform provides guidance on how to address education policy and those issues facing our students and educators, including school funding, collective bargaining, educational opportunities, employee rights and more. The Platform was written and developed by members of the IEA to provide direction for the Association on issues important to educators. Each year members have an opportunity to review and make changes to the Platform at the IEA Representative Assembly.
