Glenbard teachers announce their picks for 2021 school board

GLEN ELLYN – After interviewing all candidates for Glenbard Township High School District 87 School Board, the Glenbard Education Association recommends incumbents Judith Weinstock, Mireya Vera, Robert (Bob) Friend and challenger Kermit Eby to continue to expand upon the good work we are doing in Glenbard District 87.

Over the last decade, Glenbard has worked to expand course selections and extracurricular opportunities while instituting and improving upon outreach programs that help our struggling students. We have worked to provide every student with the technology and internet access needed to find success in today’s world, made countless improvements to our school facilities and served as careful stewards of taxpayer funds. These candidates recognize the importance of that work and will ensure it continues.

GEA President Kevin Sutton commented, “As educators in the district, we use our collective voice to advocate for our students’ best interests. The recommended candidates share our vision of a Glenbard that works diligently on behalf of all students. Please vote for Judith Weinstock, Kermit Eby, Robert (Bob) Friend and Mireya Vera on April 6.”

GEA represents 550 members, including teachers, nurses, social workers, speech pathologists, school psychologists and school counselors working in Glenbard School District 87.
