2025 IEA Aspiring Educator Conference
This event is specifically designed for Aspiring Ed members in educator prep programs throughout the state and planned by the IEA Aspiring Ed Executive Committee. Join us at The DoubleTree in Naperville, IL on April 11-12 to collaborate and network with other Aspiring Educators, as well as learn more about union activism and engagement. Additionally, we will experience an inspiring keynote from Sofia Gonzalez, a powerful Ed activist in Illinois who is traveling the country to share her message about how to “flip the table.”
The conference will kick off at 6:00PM on Friday with a buffet dinner, followed by the Gram-AEs Awards event later that evening. Come dressed to impress for this Awards Ceremony which will celebrate Aspiring Ed work in Illinois, or simply come as you are and join in the fun. Saturday will be packed full of meaningful breakout sessions that encourage you to think critically about the climate and culture of your future classrooms. The conference will conclude at 4:00PM on Saturday afternoon. We hope you will be able to join us!
