And, we want to send a message of support to our brothers and sisters of the CTU in Chicago by wearing red, as well. To all of you: we’re with you. You have the strength of the IEA behind you. We are proud that our educators are fighting for the schools their students deserve. We support our members using their collective voice to advocate for their students’ rights to quality public education.”
The 135,000 member Illinois Education Association (IEA-NEA) is the state’s largest education employee’s organization. IEA represents preK-12 teachers outside of the city of Chicago and education support staff, higher education faculty, retired education employees and students preparing to become teachers, statewide.
