Sycamore HS Art Club and teacher receive SCORE grant

The Sycamore High School Art Club and sponsoring art teacher, Katherine Katz, have been awarded a SCORE grant for the purchase of materials for their “Empty Bowls” project. The project is designed to raise awareness about hunger in the community and throughout the state and nation. Art Club students, along with community members and local artists, create, fire and sell handmade ceramic bowls, with proceeds from sales and donations going to the Sycamore Food Pantry.   An Empty Bowls community event and sale will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., April 19, in the Sycamore High School cafeteria.
