In theory, a property tax freeze sounds great.
But, property taxes are what make up the bulk of local school district budgets. When property taxes are frozen, schools suffer and so do school employees.
Please take a moment to urge your local lawmakers to vote against the amended version of SB 851, which not only freezes property taxes, but also grants an increased number of exemptions, actually cutting the current amount of taxes collected.
