Educators Rising State Officers

Camila Berrios Morales
President
Normal West High School

Camila Berrios Morales is a senior at Normal Community West High School who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others. She is excited to serve as an officer for Educators Rising Illinois, where she hopes to inspire fellow Aspiring Educators, strengthen leadership within the organization, and leave a lasting impact on her community. Camila plans to pursue a career in special education, driven by her love of helping students learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Her commitment to inclusion shows up in everything she does, from building meaningful friendships through Best Buddies, which supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to her involvement with The Penguin Project, a musical theater program that gives children and young adults with special needs the opportunity to perform in junior musical productions. Through both programs, Camila helps create spaces where participants feel supported, build confidence, and get to shine. In her free time, she enjoys working with others, volunteering, and finding new ways to give back to her community. Camila is excited to continue making a difference through education, advocacy, and service as she heads into what is sure to be an incredible year.

Megan White
Vice President
Normal Community High School

Megan White is a senior at Normal Community High School and will serve as Vice President of Educators Rising Illinois for the 2026-2027 school year. Teaching has always been in her family, inspired by her grandmother and aunt, and now she is carrying on that tradition. Megan is passionate about giving back to her community through volunteering, and her favorite events to help with are carnivals, a nod to what made elementary school so fun for her. She has already started living her dream through Normal Community’s educator preparation programs, where she completes a weekly internship at a local elementary school, works in her school’s preschool program, and participates in a freshman mentoring program. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends and listening to music. Megan is so excited to connect with fellow Aspiring Educators and cannot wait to see everyone at the annual conference!

Ada Morber
Recording Secretary
Cobden High School

Adalynn Morber is a junior at Cobden High School. She plans on becoming a 2nd grade teacher because her own 2nd grade teacher had such a huge impact on her life. In her free time, she loves hanging out with friends, fishing, and babysitting. Adalynn is an all star cheerleader and helps coach a team of mostly 1st and 2nd graders. She is so excited to watch everyone grow in skill and confidence this upcoming year, and hopes that her fellow Aspiring Educators will catch the teaching bug because the world can always use more great teachers!

Eli McGee
Public Relations Secretary
Crete-Monee High School

Elijah is a senior at Crete-Monee High School and the 2026-2027 Public Relations Secretary for Educators Rising Illinois. He has been involved with Educators Rising since his sophomore year and has been passionate about teaching since 7th grade. In his free time, Elijah enjoys all things quiet, including reading, going for walks, and spending time in nature. He ran track and finds that whether he is on the trail or lost in a good book, stillness is how he best recharges and connects with himself. He chose to pursue a state officer role because he believes teachers are often underappreciated despite playing a vital role in helping students become the best versions of themselves. Elijah hopes to pursue a career teaching internationally and is excited for everything the upcoming year has in store.
