Benjamin School District 25 (DuPage County) and Matthew Turek, band director and member of the Benjamin Education Association (BEA), were recipients of a $1,000 SCORE grant this year.
The funds are being used for purchase of electric bass and guitar amplifiers that will allow a greater number of students to participate in band. The BIG SCORE CHECK was presented at a school board meeting on Nov. 14.
