WHO: The Education Association of Pekin (EAP) is hosting a “Stuff the Bus” event to help collect school supplies for Pekin Public School District 108 students in need.
WHEN: EAP members will collect donations on Sun., Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and again on Sat., Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Donation bins will also be available in Walmart all week,Aug. 3 to 9.
WHERE: Walmart, 3320 Veterans Dr., Pekin. (3320 Veterans Dr., Pekin)
NOTE: District 108 supports 3,100 students, 66% of whom live below the poverty line. Students need to have the right tools for school so they can focus on learning. Without the proper supplies, students’ performances are negatively impacted.
The EAP represents the teachers, paraprofessionals, secretaries and other educational support personnel of District 108.
