WHO: Rock Island Education Association (RIEA) and Rock Island Education Support Professional Association (RIESPA)
WHAT: RIEA and RIESPA are hosting a public forum for all Rock Island-Milan School District school board candidates. The community is invited to come and listen as candidates answer questions about their vision for District 41 students and the community. There will be a meet and greet with the candidates directly after the forum.
WHEN: Wed., Feb. 19, 6 p.m.
WHERE: Augustana College’s Lindberg Center (3501 Seventh Ave., Rock Island)
NOTE: The candidates who will be in attendance for the forum are Sue Crowder, Quincy Davis, Andrea Gilman, David Hobin, Isabel Pena, Richard Phillis and Tracy Pugh.
RIEA and RIESPA represent all teachers, licensed staff and education support professionals working in District 41. There are four open positions on the District 41 school board. The consolidated election is set for Tues., April 1. Early voting begins on Thurs., Feb. 20.
