Breese-Beckemeyer Education Association will assist Breese District 12 Elementary students make lap blankets and hand-written cards for the residents of a local assisted living facility.

Chester Education Association will fund an electronics recycling collection at Chester High School (CHS). CHS will work with the Randolph County Recycling Coordinator to meet a community need to keep electronic waste out of landfills.

DeSoto Education Association will help fund monthly parent nights at DeSoto Grade School, partnering with community resources to offer training and support for parents.

Education Association of Round Lake will support a partnership with Special Olympics and the Round Lake Area Park District to provide access to social and athletic opportunities available to differently abled students that can continue after graduation.

Elgin Teachers Association will help Larsen Middle School partner with the Boys and Girls Club and WE SCHOOL to create the Be the Good Club, to provide students with serveral opportunities to be part of a safe, loving, respectful and empowering community of learners that can make a difference in their school, community, and the world through civic engagement.

Elk Grove Education Association will host Family Wellness Nights throughout the school year for Grove Junior High families.

Kinnikinnick Education Association will assist with purchasing fleece so that third grade students can make blankets to pass out to hospitals in Rockford, Beloit, and the surrounding areas, teaching students about compassion for others, as well as basic skills needed to make the blankets.

LaGrange District 102 Educational Support Personnel IEA-NEA will provide materials to the Peer Connections Club so they can make fleece tie blankets for children at the Adventist LaGrange Memorial Hospital.

LaGrange North 102 EA will help fund the The Service Club at Park Junior High School so they can support different community organizations by collecting donations for disasters, local causes, promoting a drive to bring in items, or helping around the school.

New Berlin Education Association will provide funds for student created projects for knitting and crochet to be donated to Springfield area recipients such as at the Loami Food Bank.

Schuyler Industry Education Association will help fund “Snacks for Students,” a program that provides snack bags for elementary students, in conjunction with volunteers from the First United Methodist Church in Rushville.

The Vandalia Unit Teachers Association (VUTA) is collaboratively working with Vandalia O.N.E. to put food into the hands of needy children each Friday, providing four weekend meals for children in the district that may not have adequate nutrition in their homes.

The Vandalia Unit Teacher Association will support Community Connections Mentoring, a program that provides a high school student with a mentor to listen, encourage, provide needed resources, build College/Career Awareness, teach learning strategies, and exemplify positive and professional attitudes while keeping the student accountable regarding grades, attendance, and behavior.

Unit Five Education Association will partner with Midwest Food Bank for Friday food bags, providing 95 food bags each month.

Wheaton-Warrenville Education Association will use a SCORE grant to fund an after school service club at Hubble Middle School where students will knit and crochet hats, scarves, mittens, and blankets for a charity called Hooked on Helping.

Western Education Association will host a Back to School Night/Health and Wellness Fair providing nutrition and fitness education as well as offering school supplies, haircuts, and health/dental screenings to students in its low income district.

The Association of Plainfield Teachers will create a Little Free Library in front of the Indian Trail School.

Canton Education Association will support a snack pantry at Lincoln School to help fight student hunger.

Carbondale Education Association will again support Backpacks for Success, a program designed to help low-income students who are unable to buy backpacks.

Clinton Education Association will help foster family reading by providing students with books to keep.

Collinsville Education Association will help support Family Reading Night, an annual event to promote the joy and love of reading.

Congerville Eureka Goodfield Education Association will help fund “Santa’s Workshop,” free literacy and arts holiday parties provided by high school students.

Decatur Education Association will help the Busy Bees after school program create a food pantry, providing meals to feed families from South Shores Elementary School.

District 300 Education Service Personnel Association will host a back to school community event, creating a welcoming environment for the diverse group of families the district serves.

Greenville Education Association will fund the Weekend Backpack Program, providing kid friendly meals and snacks for weekends and holiday breaks. The program currently serves 80 students.

Greenville Education Association will bring the Illinois Food Bank Mobile Pantry back to Greenville for needy families of Bond County to utilize.

LaGrange District 102 Education Association will help support the Special Olympic Basketball team at Park Junior High as they make connections with their peers, younger elementary students, and the community.

Olympia Education Association will help support the newly-formed student organization Gender and Sexuality Alliance at Olympia High School by funding a lavender ceremony to recognize the students’ activism for the LGBT+ community.

Oswego Education Association will host a night for families to learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and coping strategies they can use with their children. Students will learn de-escalation strategies to help calm themselves through yoga and mindfulness activities.

River Ridge Education Association will support the Cats Care Committee in its effort to meet a variety of needs of its students. An increasing number of students in its Pre-K district do not have clean clothes, are not able to shower daily, and have clothes with holes in them. This grant will allow Cats Care to provide the items that students need to care for themselves, including shampoo, soap, a comb, deodorant, or clothing/shoes.

Robinson CUTEA will assist Lincoln Grade School in an effort to become a Trauma-sensitive school by looking at ways to build resilience in its students. The SCORE grant will fund a LGS Mindful Project. This project will include educating students and staff about the benefits of meditation, yoga, and mindfulness.

Shelbyville Education Association will create two “Little Free Libraries” in Shelbyville to promote literacy in the community and make books more available to all.

Stockton Education Association will help purchase four Little Free Library boxes in the village of Stockton.

Vandalia Unit Teacher Association will assist students in first through eighth grades to work together to make lip balm and sugar scrubs for their families as well as members of the community.

Elgin Teachers Association will fund the creation of a sensory garden for all the students to utilize with specific attention to supporting students on the Autism spectrum and those with sensory needs.

Huntley Education Association will help create a zen and vegetable garden along with a prairie classroom space for all of Huntley High School to use and contribute to, while providing purposeful work for special education students looking to develop vocational skills through hands-on learning, and to feel a sense of belonging to the high school culture.

Mattoon Education Association will assist in the creation of a small community garden project, providing students with a hands-on experience in the growth process, harvest and daily maintenance.

Westmont Teachers Association will help the Agriculture club at Manning School partner with Dupage County Farm Bureau to educate third grade students about the agricultural world around them and its direct impact on their lives. In its second year, the Ag Club will provide students with the opportunity to manage and care for chicks until they are 8-10 weeks old and relocated to a farm.

District 21 Education Association will help fund a Family Makerspace (STEAM) Night , a two-hour, hands-on event with multiple stations/events manned by volunteers who host experiments, crafts, explorations and demonstrations in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art and math.

Morris Elementary Education Association will use the SCORE grant to fund Students and Seniors with STEM. Students from kindergarten through fifth grade will be sharing literacy and STEM activities with local residents at the nearby senior living community.
