Over the last three years, the Illinois Education Association and the Partnership for Resilience which it helped create have helped Illinois schools become trauma-sensitive. In fact, since last fall the IEA alone has provide training in trauma practices to over 2,000 Illinois Educators. Schools in metropolitan Chicago and across the state are now integrating resilience into their education approach.
