Take action now to urge members of Congress to pass a Dream Act before the end of the year.

Already, 10,000 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients have lost their protected status and hundreds more lose status each day that Congress fails to act.

DACA is a five-year-old program that prevents the deportation of people who were brought to America illegally when they were children. President Trump said in September that he was ending the program and that it was up to Congress to come up with some other way to protect the nearly 800,000 people who are part of the program.

The program allows those who qualify to reapply every two years for new work permits, paying a $495 fee and undergoing a federal background check. All protections of the program will expire over the course of the next two years as permits expire.
