You are invited to a three-day, train-the trainer session designed for individuals or teams who would like to train others in becoming trauma-informed so you can help those students in your classrooms, buildings and districts who need help the most.
Please join us in Naperville Aug. 1-3 to learn practical tips and strategies so when you leave, you will be prepared to present information on ACEs, building resilience, increasing executive functioning, and will be able to train on other tools in order to implement trauma-informed classrooms and schools. All of these skills also will help school districts comply with the new student discipline law that went into effect on Sept. 15 (SB100/P.A. 99-0456).
Please fill out an application and we will send you a link for the registration. The cost of the training is $25/per day. That cost covers lunch and an afternoon snack the first day; breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack on the second day; and breakfast and lunch the third day. The training will be held at the Northern Illinois University Conference Center, 1120 E. Diehl Rd., Naperville.
You should ask your district, local association or IEA region for funding first, but if none of those entities are able to fund your attendance, there is some grant funding available to help offset the cost. Administrators are welcome to attend as part of a team.
If you have any questions, contact IEA Connect.
